Art in the Library

The Art of Kaylyn!!
Creations by Kaylyn Jenkins

January-February 2020

The South Jefferson Public Library is pleased to present the art of Kaylyn Jenkins during the months of January and February, 2020 in the Library Meeting Room.  We welcome Miss Jenkins as one of our young library patrons hosting her art show at the library.  This exhibit will be the 87th in the Art in the Library series hosted by the library highlighting the talents of local artists.  A reception will be held on Sunday, January 19th, from 2PM to 4PM in the Library Meeting Room, to enable the public to meet this young artist.

Kaylyn Jenkins is a 14-year-old, 8th grade student at Charles Town Middle School. Along with being a straight A student, and Vice President of the CTMS Chapter of FFA, Kaylyn is also the co-captain of her travel soccer team, EPIC Storm.

Kaylyn has been drawing since she was old enough to pick up a crayon but recently has become interested in watercolor and other mediums as well. She is looking forward to continuing her art education and eventually working in graphic design when she is older. For now, she hopes you enjoy a sampling of her art at the South Jefferson Public Library’s exhibition of her work!

This art show will run from Saturday, January 4, 2020, through Saturday, Februrary 29, 2020, at the South Jefferson Public Library, located at 49 Church St., Summit Point, WV 25446. Library hours are: M-Th: 10-7; Fri: Closed; Sat: 10-5; Sun: 1-5. For additional information regarding this show, library personnel may be reached at: (304) 725-6227
